Devotional: Exodus 35:32

“And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,”

Exodus 35:32

Reflection

Exodus 35:32 speaks of the skilled craftsmen chosen by God to beautify the tabernacle. They were gifted with the ability to 'devise curious works' and to work with precious metals. This verse isn't just a historical account; it's a profound reminder that God values our creativity, our talents, and our desire to use them for His glory. He doesn't just call us to serve Him in grand, public ways, but also in the intricate, often unseen details of our lives. Perhaps you're a writer, an artist, a chef, a gardener, a problem-solver, or a meticulous organizer. Whatever your 'curious work' may be, know that God has endowed you with those specific skills. He delights in your craftsmanship and wants you to offer it back to Him, not for your own accolades, but to bring beauty, order, and purpose to the world around you, reflecting His own creative nature. Let your work, however humble or grand, be an offering of love and devotion.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gifts and talents You have so generously given us. Just as You equipped the artisans for the tabernacle, You have uniquely crafted each of us with abilities to serve You and bless others. Forgive us when we bury our talents or use them solely for ourselves. Open our eyes to see the 'curious works' You've entrusted to us and empower us by Your Spirit to develop them for Your glory. May our creativity, our precision, and our passion be a fragrant offering to You, our divine Creator. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Love, Rick & Marie Alice
