Devotional: Romans 15:12

Romans 15:12, quoting Isaiah, speaks of a profound hope: a Root of Jesse, a descendant of David, who would rise to reign over the Gentiles. This isn't just a historical prophecy; it's a living truth for us today. "In him shall the Gentiles trust." That's us! We, who were once separated from God, are now invited into His family through Christ. This verse reminds us that God's plan of salvation was never exclusive; it was always meant to embrace all humanity. When the world feels divided or uncertain, remember that our trust is in one who transcends all earthly boundaries and offers an eternal reign of peace and justice. Let this truth deepen your faith and encourage you to share this incredible hope with those around you, knowing that in Christ, all nations find their rest.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the fulfillment of Your promise in Jesus, the Root of Jesse. We are so grateful that Your love extends to all people, and that we, the Gentiles, can place our trust in Him. Strengthen our faith, Lord, that we may lean on Christ in all circumstances. Help us to live as a testament to Your inclusive love, sharing the good news of His reign with a world in need of hope. May our lives reflect the trust we have in our Savior. Amen.
