Devotional: Ephesians 3:7

Ephesians 3:7 reminds us that our purpose and ministry are not born of our own strength or merit, but are a direct result of God's 'gift of grace' and the 'effectual working of his power.' Paul, despite his past as a persecutor of Christians, was transformed and called to a profound ministry. This isn't just for apostles; it's a truth for each of us. Do you ever feel inadequate, like you don't have what it takes to fulfill the calling God has placed on your heart? This verse offers immense encouragement. God equips those He calls. The 'gift of grace' means we don't earn it, and the 'effectual working of his power' means He provides the ability. Let go of self-doubt and embrace the truth that God's power is at work within you, empowering you for every good work He has ordained.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the incredible gift of Your grace that makes us ministers in Your kingdom. Forgive us for the times we doubt our calling or rely on our own strength. We ask that You would effectively work Your power within us, just as You did with Paul, so that we may faithfully serve You according to Your perfect will. Open our eyes to see the gifts You've given, and empower us to use them for Your glory, magnifying Your name in all we do. Amen.
