Devotional: 1 Peter 5:11

1 Peter 5:11 paints a magnificent picture of God's eternal majesty. "To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." This isn't just a theological statement; it's a profound truth that anchors our souls in a world often feeling out of control. When life throws its inevitable curveballs – unexpected challenges, personal struggles, or even moments of profound joy – it's easy to center our focus on ourselves or our immediate circumstances. But this verse calls us to lift our gaze higher, reminding us that all glory and all dominion belong to God, eternally. This means His power is unwavering, His plan is perfect, and His love is endless. Knowing this frees us from anxiety and empowers us to live with confident hope. Our daily victories and our quiet struggles are all encompassed within His sovereign dominion. Let this verse be a comforting reminder that we are held in the unfailing hands of the One who reigns supreme, always and forever.

Heavenly Father, we humbly come before You, acknowledging Your eternal glory and dominion. Thank You for being the unchanging sovereign over all creation and over our lives. Help us to fully surrender our worries, our aspirations, and our very beings into Your capable hands. May Your reign be evident in our thoughts, words, and actions today. Strengthen our faith, Lord, that we may always attribute all honor and power to You, now and forevermore. Amen.
