Devotional: Zephaniah 3:16

Zephaniah 3:16 speaks a powerful message to us today: 'Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack.' In our fast-paced, often overwhelming world, it's easy to fall prey to fear, worry, and a sense of inadequacy. We might feel paralyzed by circumstances, hesitant to step out in faith, or simply weary from the daily grind. But God's word through Zephaniah reminds us of His unwavering presence and constant support. He doesn't want us to live shackled by anxiety; instead, He calls us to courage and active participation in His kingdom work. 'Let not thine hands be slack' is an invitation to press forward, to trust His leading, and to faithfully engage with the opportunities He places before us. Even when we feel weak, His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Let's cast off fear and embrace the strength He provides to do what He's called us to do.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts open to Your truth. Thank You for the reassuring words in Zephaniah 3:16, reminding us not to fear. Forgive us for the times our hands have been slack, for the moments we’ve allowed doubt and apprehension to hinder our steps. Strengthen us with Your Holy Spirit today, Lord.
