Devotional: Revelation 21:23

Revelation 21:23 paints a breathtaking picture of our eternal home – a city so radiant that it needs no sun or moon, for God's glory and the Lamb Himself are its light. Imagine a world where all shadows are banished, not by external sources, but by the very presence of perfect love and truth. This isn't just a future hope; it's a profound truth that can illuminate our present. In a world often shrouded in uncertainty, fear, and doubt, we can sometimes feel lost in the dark. But this verse reminds us that the ultimate source of light is never far. When we lean into God's presence, when we fix our eyes on Jesus, His light dispels the shadows of our current struggles. We don't need perfect circumstances or human validation to find our way; we simply need Him. Let this truth encourage you today: His light is sufficient.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the glorious promise of Your eternal city, where Your light shines supremely. We confess that we often seek illumination from earthly sources, forgetting that You and the Lamb are the true and lasting light. Help us, Lord, to fix our gaze on You amidst the darkness of this world. May Your glory dispel our fears, uncertainties, and doubts, and may we walk in the radiant truth of Your presence. Guide our steps, illuminate our paths, and let Your divine light shine brightly through us, for Your glory. Amen.
