Devotional: 1 John 4:2

In a world full of voices and spiritual claims, 1 John 4:2 provides a crucial litmus test for discerning truth: the confession that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. This isn't just an abstract theological point; it's a foundational truth that impacts our faith and walk. When we affirm Jesus as fully God and fully human, we embrace the miraculous bridge between heaven and earth, the sacrifice on the cross, and the reality of His resurrection. This confession grounds us, reminding us that our Savior isn't a distant deity but one who experienced our humanity, felt our pain, and conquered our sin. Let this truth fill you with confidence today. It’s through this tangible, flesh-and-blood Christ that we find salvation, guidance, and the very Spirit of God. Hold fast to this truth, for it is the bedrock of our hope and the key to discerning God's presence in a noisy world.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the clear truth found in Your Word. We confess with our hearts and minds that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, a perfect sacrifice, fully God and fully man. Strengthen our faith in this foundational truth, Lord. Help us to discern Your Spirit in a world filled with many voices, always drawing us back to the reality of Jesus' incarnation, death, and resurrection. May this truth be our anchor and our guide, filling us with peace and assurance. Amen.
