Devotional: Ephesians 3:15
“Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,”
Ephesians 3:15
Reflection
Ephesians 3:15 reminds us that every family, whether in heaven or on earth, derives its very name and nature from God. This isn't just about biological ties; it's a profound truth about our spiritual identity. When we feel isolated, misunderstood, or even alone, this verse anchors us in a larger, divine reality. We are part of God's vast, eternal family. Our struggles, joys, and relationships here on earth are seen and understood within the context of His loving fatherhood. Imagine the comfort in knowing that the Creator of the universe considers you part of His household. This truth should empower us to love more deeply, forgive more readily, and live with the confidence of a beloved child. You are not an orphan; you belong to the most magnificent family ever conceived, knit together by divine love and purpose.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging that every family, both here and in glory, bears Your name. Thank You for making us part of Your magnificent household, for calling us Your children. Help us to truly grasp the depth of this belonging, especially when we feel disconnected or alone. May this truth shape how we love, forgive, and relate to others, seeing them through the lens of Your grand design. Strengthen our family bonds, both spiritual and physical, and remind us daily of the incredible privilege of being named by You. Amen.
